2008 Lightfair International Innovation Awards Honor LC&D’s Wireless Photocell with “Best in Category”
Lightfair® International (LFI), the largest annual trade show & conference for architectural & commercial lighting, celebrated the industry’s most innovative product designs during the 2008 LFI Innovation Awards and Best in Category Awards at a ceremony in the Las Vegas Convention Center during the opening day of the show. Lighting Control & Design’s Wireless Photocell was honored with a “Best in Category” for Controls as well as Daylight Integration & Systems. The Los Angeles based manufacturer is a pioneer in the field of daylight harvesting.

SlimLine™ Photosensor Earns 2007 ADEX Platinum Award
The new SlimLine™ Photosensor has received the 2007 ADEX Platinum Award for providing alternative mounting for daylight harvesting applications with indirect lighting.
LC&D’s solution, the SlimLine™, is not mounted on the ceiling but rather on the bottom of an indirect luminaire, thus allowing it to “look” below the luminaire and get the proper light reading.

Wireless Switch Receives 2007 ADEX Gold Award for Offering Total Control of Lighting System
The Wireless Switch & Receiver has received the 2007 ADEX Gold Award for Design Excellence for offering total control of the system. The Wireless Switch & Receiver, which require no batteries or maintenance, can be stuck or screwed onto a flat surface for instant control of an LC&D system. Every transmitter is manufactured with a unique 32-bit address, allowing multiple wireless switches.

LC&D’s MicroPhase™, an extension of the MicroPanel iDim, has received the 2007 ADEX Gold Award for Design Excellence for dimming standard and low-voltage incandescent, quartz, neon and cold-cathode sources. Design Journal, the international trade publication, sponsors the design industry’s largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.

LC&D’s Single Line Drawing Generator (SLDG) was honored with a 2005 Vision Awards from Construtech Magazine, celebrating the achievements of the Los Angeles based pioneer in the field of lighting control and daylight harvesting, citing the innovations that occur when the worlds of technology and business collide in today’s construction industry. The SLDG, an application based internet approach to generating specifications, was honored in the category of Industrial/Manufacturing $6-$25 million.
