Moscone Convention Center,
San Francisco,
California:
After the addition of the Moscone Convention Center’s new Swing Spaces, LCD accepted
the mission of improving the lighting control in the expansive space. With the installation of the MicroPanel and the introduction of our Unity GX software, Moscone saw
reduced energy consumption, simplified day-to-day use and lower initial
installation costs.
High Tech High L.A.
Van Nuys, California
When designing lighting controls
for the High Tech High L.A. project
(HTH-LA), the LAUSD was looking
for a lighting control system that
would be durable, adaptable and
allowed for flexibility in configuration.
The LAUSD also wanted to make
a substantial, long-term investment
in Daylight Harvesting Technology
but were mindful of the pitfalls that
plagued earlier systems, such as false
“ons” and “offs” and the issue of
manual control. The LAUSD was also
looking to utilize a local Los Angeles based
manufacturer, minimize installation
and maintenance costs and
recognized that it required extensive
technical support.

PacSun Retail Outlets ,
National Accounts:
The branding efforts of the retail store locations include extensive track lighting. PacSun’s displays need to be easily moved, replaced, and redesigned and the ?exibility offered by track lighting accommodates these changes. PacSun converted to high-ef?ciency Ceramic Metal Halide track ?xtures in their stores and were frustrated that even though they upgraded to a very energy ef?cient solution, they still were not able to comply with current energy codes.
Whirlpool Corporation
Perris, California
Occupied in the later part of ‘07, the most recent addition to Whirlpool Corporation’s line of manufacturing centers is a warehouse distribution facility measuring just under 1.7 million square feet. The building is a big-box structure which principally consists of a warehouse, with a portion set aside for offices.
Lighting Control & Design’s (LC&D) GR2400 system was installed to handle lighting controls in the warehouse portion where primary illumination comes from high-bay fluorescent lamps and skylights.
